How You Can Help

Enough is enough. Change is possible - if we act.RAISE Hope supporters at a march

Nearly six million people have lost their lives and hundreds of thousands of women have been raped in eastern Congo. Competition over mineral resources has become one of the primary incentives for warring parties to continue fighting. These resources – gold, tin, tungsten, and tantalum – are used in our electronics products, directly connecting us to the conflict. This gives us enormous leverage to demand change.

Congo is not hopeless. There are solutions. Together, we can stop the violence.

Ways to Take Action

Urge your friends to join you in coming clean for Congo. When the public cried out about blood diamonds, governments and the diamond companies listened. This could be even bigger. Your voice matters. Spread the word.

Help us increase demand for conflict-free electronics. Urge the biggest electronics companies to make their products conflict free. The message is clear: “If you take conflict out of your cell phone, I will buy it.”

Urge your school to go conflict-free. Get your school to pass a resolution that publicly calls on electronics companies to make conflict-free computers and printers for your campus.
